Q4. Do you have a favourite Valentine’s Day drink?

One of my favorites is Eros from the Parisian tea house Mariage Freres, with hibiscus and mallow flowers. It’s such a strong sense memory–other teas like American Tea Room’s Anastasia sometimes bring back that strange, heady feeling for me.

Q5. What is your favourite drink during the Winter?

Right now, I’m loving more ethereal white teas like Tea Box’s Glendale Silver Sparkles Nilgiri White. Then there’s Palais des Thes’ Ikebana green and black blend with mint, rose, jasmine and orchid for those in-between days on the cusp of winter and spring–perfect for Spring Equinox.

Q6. What is the perfect Winter weekend setting to enjoy the drink?

Ice Hotel, Jukkasjärvi, a small village in Northern Sweden with 1,100 residents and 1,000 dogs. Or Antartica and my dreams.

Q7. What is usually your last drink of the day?

Dreamy white teas for cold winter nights like Palais des Thes’ des Songes Blanc or Art of Tea’s Amore with rose and lavender.

Q8. If you could go back in time, which famous person would like to have a drink with?

Russian tea service with Alexander Pushkin; afternoon tea, macarons and petit fours with Marie Antoinette at Versailles.
