Hatvala Tea and Coffee

Q1. What is your Name?

Geoff Hopkins

Q2. What is the name of your blog or organisation?

Hatvala Tea and Coffee

Q3. Where are you located in the world?

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Q4. Do you have a favourite Valentine’s Day drink?

With a tinge of guilt I would set the tea cup aside for once and go for a pink champagne which to me has all the attributes of taste and occasion that may it perfect for a romantic Valentine’s Day drink. I was recently introduced to Champagne Gosset Grand Rose which offered a wonderful combination of spice and berries.

Q5. What is your favourite drink during the Winter?

We don’t have a winter as such in Ho Chi Minh City and the northern hemisphere winter coincides with a sunny, dry period with a welcome cooling breeze. Just recently I have been experimenting with our wild mountain black tea cold brewed with fresh coconut water. It is a great drink straight from the refrigerator.

Q6. What is the perfect Winter weekend setting to enjoy the drink?

Still in the tropical setting, a weekend away sitting on a balcony with friends watching fishing boats silhouetted against the setting sun.

Q7. What is usually your last drink of the day?

Most frequently when at home it would be our Mountain Mist White Tea. Another tea made from wild tea trees it is both delicate and light but with sufficient subtle flavours of spice and smoke to entertain the palate.

Q8. If you could go back in time, which famous person would like to have a drink with?

This is a tricky one as there are so many fascinating people to choose from. At the moment I think that Albert Einstein just about shades it as there are so many topics that he could enlighten me on and I could spend hours just sitting back to listen. I think we could enjoy several pots of various green teas together.

Q9. Where can people find out more about you?

Our website is www.hatvala.com
