Winter 2015 Interview – Amanda (My Thoughts Are Like Butterflies)

My Thoughts Are Like Butterflies

Q1. What is your Name?

Amanda, or SoggyEnderman as the Internet knows me.

Q2. What is the name of your blog or organisation?

My Thoughts Are Like Butterflies, Tea Review and Geekery

Q3. Where are you located in the world?

Kansas City, MO

Q4. Do you have a favourite Valentine’s Day drink?

I gave this one a lot of thought and sadly have to say no, I do not have any special tea for Valentine’s Day, though perhaps I should drink a rosy tea and start this as a tradition.

Q5. What is your favourite drink during the Winter?

Oooh this one I can answer, I love rich and heavy teas when it gets cold…Lapsang Souchong with its intense smoky notes and roasted oolongs with their toasty notes, both evoke warmth and usually are quite warm!

Q6. What is the perfect Winter weekend setting to enjoy the drink?

SNOW!! I love snow so much, it is my favorite thing about this season (though living where I do now means I get less snow than I would like…I miss living in the North) I love playing in the snow, watching it fall, and anything to do with it. Just this year I was able to have a gongfu session in the snow, it was excellent.

My next goal is to build a snow fort and have a tea party in it.

Q7. What is usually your last drink of the day?

Tea of some sort, either a nice herbal tea or, you guessed it, a roasted oolong. I am rather fond of Kyobancha, a roasted green tea that has very little caffeine so that makes it pleasant to sip before sleep.

Q8. If you could go back in time, which famous person would like to have a drink with?

Sir Richard Burton, probably one of my favorite historical figures. Or Richard the Lionheart, just because he is my ancestor and that would be really cool.

Q9. Where can people find out more about you?

I ramble about tea (and sometimes geeky things) on my blog:

I just recently joined Instagram and show off tea (and other random stuff)
