Tea People

Q1. What is your Name?

Vishaka Agarwal

Q2. Do you represent a business? If yes, what is the name and your role.

Tea People, Chief Product Officer

Q3. Where are you located in the world?

Reading, UK

Q4. What is your favourite Summer drink and why?

Iced Ceylon green tea with mint, sweetened with agave nectar. I find it very easy to make, just cold brew 3 teaspoons into a litre of water leaving it overnight. The next day add some fresh mint, lemon juice, agave nectar and ice and Voila!! My healthy, refreshing drink for the day is ready!

Q5. What is the perfect Summer’s day setting to enjoy the drink?

A hot day at home in the garden curled up with a book.

Or a summer tea party with friends, if you are in a more generous mood and are willing to share the nectar of the Gods with your friends

Q6. Is there a right or wrong way to prepare the drink? i.e. Never drink without ice?

Never drink without ice! Make sure the added sweetener balances the tartness of the lemons.

Q7. Is the presentation of the drink important? i.e. ceremony, type of glass, setting.

Garnishes are good! Add fresh mint leaves and sliced lemons and lime. Serve in tall glasses. It needs to look as good as it tastes!

Q8. Is there a Summer’s day drink that you feel is underrated? If so, why?

Hot tea! My dad always drank hot tea no matter how hot the weather (and I’m talking about an Indian Summer…. in India) and seemed as cool as a cucumber while I drank iced drink upon iced drink and still sweated like a pig!

Well, now the boffins have actually done the science for us and found that hot drinks do make us cooler….by making us sweat more!

Q9. Where can people find out more about you? i.e. shop address, Twitter username, website url
