Summer 2014 Interview – Little Yellow Teapot

Little Yellow Teapot

Q1. What is your Name?

Little Yellow Teapot

Q2. Do you represent a business? If yes, what is the name and your role.

Not a business, but I am leader of the Tea Gang, the best bunch of tea steepers around.

Q3. Where are you located in the world?

In my humans’ kitchen. (Mostly, I hang out on the counter.)

Q4. What is your favourite Summer drink and why?

Hot tea. (You thought maybe I was gonna say Kool-Aid?)

Q5. What is the perfect Summer’s day setting to enjoy the drink?

For Summer, my humans like tea indoors, same as in Winter. They drink while watching TV, or have tea with a meal.

Q6. Is there a right or wrong way to prepare the drink? i.e. Never drink without ice?

Since it’s HOT tea, never put ice in it. This will result in a temperature change that will be contrary to the goal of having a cuppa hot tea. I never allow teabags in me, so it’s always steeped using loose leaf tea. We tend to use the better quality teas.

Q7. Is the presentation of the drink important? i.e. ceremony, type of glass, setting.

Bone china is best. Some of my ‘she’ cup girlfriends are usually called into service here. Bone china adds such elegance, and their thinner cup sides add an air of delicacy. This enhances the whole tea experience, causing my humans to slow down and sip, saying such things as “Mmmm, good tea” and “My, you look lovely today.”

Q8. Is there a Summer’s day drink that you feel is underrated? If so, why?

No, but several are overrated. The aforementioned Kool-Aid comes to mind here.

Q9. Where can people find out more about you? i.e. shop address, Twitter username, website url
