Summer 2014 Interview – Jennifer Forehand (SereniTea)

Jennifer Forehand

Q1. What is your Name?

Jennifer Forehand

Q2. Do you represent a business? If yes, what is the name and your role.

Yes, I’m the owner of SereniTea

Q3. Where are you located in the world?

in the Panhandle of Florida, USA

Q4. What is your favourite Summer drink and why?

Of course, it’s tea! Right now, I am loving the ease & simplicity of cold infusing in the refrigerator overnight. With our busy Summer schedules, it is a must! My favorite is our Mandarin Orange Green.

Q5. What is the perfect Summer’s day setting to enjoy the drink?

In Florida, where it’s seemingly 100 degrees all Summer, pretty much anytime is time for a cold one; but, relaxing on the beautiful white sands beaches of our Gulf Coast would be an ideal locale (though I can’t say that I’ve had that opportunity yet this Summer!)

Q6. Is there a right or wrong way to prepare the drink? i.e. Never drink without ice?

I prefer my cold tea either cold infused, or brewed traditionally, then chilled in the refrigerator. I never really like tea over ice – the natural flavors of the tea seem to get lost in there.

Q7. Is the presentation of the drink important? i.e. ceremony, type of glass, setting.

Not so much – a tall, cold glass works great!

Q8. Is there a Summer’s day drink that you feel is underrated? If so, why?

In the southern United States, everyone drinks (iced) tea, but it’s usually some form of fannings or dust from the grocer’s shelf. People tend to relegate loose leaf teas to the hot brewed form & completely forget about them in the Summer. We’re encouraging people in our area to try out chilled or cold infused loose leaf & continue to enjoy all those great loose leaf options in Summer!

Q9. Where can people find out more about you? i.e. shop address, Twitter username, website url
