Summer 2014 Interview – Deborah Bennett

DB Interview

Q1. What is your Name?

Deborah Bennett

Q2. Do you represent a business? If yes, what is the name and your role.

I write erotica so it’s probably a little risque to mention here!

Q3. Where are you located in the world?

Australia – anywhere the fun is.

Q4. What is your favourite Summer drink and why?

It’s winter in Australia at the moment so I can only dream of summer right now.

Ok, I love a Long Island Ice Tea in summer, sitting by the pool, soaking up the sun and having a muscular lifeguard rubbing sunscreen all over my body. It has to have one of those little umbrellas in it or I’m not satisfied, and nobody’s happy when I’m not satisfied.

I also love wine in summer. I love the cool taste of a full bodied Chardonnay, wooded of course.

Q5. What is the perfect Summer’s day setting to enjoy the drink?

I can happily drink inside or outside, top or bottom, with one or with many.

My perfect summer’s day, though would be by one of our heavenly beaches in Australia, burying my feet in the white sand and relaxing with a long cocktail pressed to my lips.

Q6. Is there a right or wrong way to prepare the drink? i.e. Never drink without ice?

I don’t think it’s possible to ruin a Long Island Ice Tea but I am happy to drink the failed attempts until the bar tender gets it right!

Ooh, but don’t forget the umbrella!

Q7. Is the presentation of the drink important? i.e. ceremony, type of glass, setting.

Presentation is always important! You can’t expect a girl to sip on something inferior!

Q8. Is there a Summer’s day drink that you feel is underrated? If so, why?

Mineral water is highly underrated. There’s something about those little bubbles dancing over my tongue that makes me so happy. I particularly enjoy Italian mineral water. I’m a real sucker for a sparkling Italian.

Q9. Where can people find out more about you? i.e. shop address, Twitter username, website url

My twitter username is @decadentdeborah but beware, I’m not safe for work, or your mother… xx
