Q1. What is your name?

Q2. What is the name of your blog or organisation?

Scents & Sensibilitea

Q3. Where are you located in the world?

Brooklyn, NY & sometimes way up in the ether.

Q4. What currently is your favourite drink and why?

Bellocq High Mountain Oolong no. 63 (because it tastes like fields & flowers without being scented.) Lately, I’ve been keen to make an iced Keemun black tea with geranium rose water & club soda for my own personal version of a tea shandy.

Q5. Do you change your drinking habits during Spring?

Absolutely–every day, by the hour and situation, based on how I feel and what I need at that time. And as the weather shifts and new flowers bloom.

Q6. Is there a coffee or tea you think others should try?

I generally recommend things to others based on what I think their tastes are. But categorically, I would say a Jin Jun Mei I got from Joe Wesley Tea that tastes like a combination of an oolong and black tea with a thousand different kinds of flowers. Everyone should try that at least once in a lifetime.

Q7. If cost wasn’t a factor, where would you like to be right now enjoying a drink?

The rose gardens in Grasse–a town on the French Riviera–which many say has the most gorgeous smelling roses in the world. It’s also widely considered the global perfume capital.

Q8. What do you think should be done to stop people from drinking too much alcohol?

I don’t like to say what other people should or should not do–everyone has different tastes and body chemistry. I would say, if you feel good the next day, go for it. If not, maybe try something else.
