Autumn 2014 Interview – Laura Burley (Laura’s Tea Room)

Laura Burley Autumn 2014 Interview

Q1. What is your Name?

Laura Burley

Q2. What is the name of your blog or organisation?

Laura’s Tea room

Q3. Where are you located in the world?

London

Q4. What is your favourite Autumn drink and why?

At the moment it has to be Marks and Spencer’s Mulled Fruit Tea. It’s absolutely lovely because of the main ingredient of Spiced Apple – it’s just like your nan’s best apple pie! All the fun without the calories. I’m almost evangelical about this tea and have converted a few friends to it already! Shame it’s a limited edition.

Q5. What is the perfect Autumn day setting to enjoy the drink?

Curled up on the sofa with a episode of Inspector Frost or Sherlock Holmes, watching the rain pour down on the windows. Feeling warm and snug in your best winter jumper!

Q6. Do you order a different drink whilst travelling?

I am extremely under-travelled really and I’ve only travelled within the UK. So I just tend to stick to the blends and brands I know.

Q7. What drink do you start your day with and why?

It varies but recently it’s been Apple Tea from Northern Tea Merchants. It’s base tea is a really wonderful Keemun, which is my favourite black tea. It’s just lovely. It’s all about the apples at the moment!

Q8. What helps improve the quality of a drink?

As simple as it seems, it’s having the very best quality that you can afford, so it doesn’t matter so much about the brand as much. But, also, a good price is important to, especially if you are a tea addict. Tea can get really expensive sometimes! Also, if ordering online or buying in a teashop, service is key. But I have to say, with the exception of two occasions, most customer service in the tea world is second to none. We are, after all, all tea lovers.

Q9. Where can people find out more about you?

Through my blog – there is a little bit of me in each post! http://lovetealoveblogging.blogspot.co.uk
