Autumn 2014 Interview – Gareth L. Powell

Macaque Attack

Q1. What is your Name?

Gareth L. Powell

Q3. Where are you located in the world?

The South West of England

Q4. What is your favourite Autumn drink and why?

A glass of red wine.

Q5. What is the perfect Autumn day setting to enjoy the drink?

Curled up on the sofa, watching leaves drift down from the trees, listening to the patter of rain on the kitchen skylight. Alternatively, eating a meal with friends, in a pub with an open fire and misted-up windows.

Q6. What contributes to receiving a high quality drink?

I’m not a great wine buff, but I know what I like. And these days, you can often find a perfectly acceptable bottle of wine at the supermarket at a reasonable price.

Q7. What drink do you start your day with and why?

I start the day with a large glass of water. It’s very important to keep hydrated. And, usually, I’ll follow it with a huge mug of decaffeinated tea, to warm my bones and set me up for a morning’s work at the keyboard.

Q8. Do you order a different drink whilst travelling?

I like the French attitude to wine, that a meal without wine is like a day without sunshine. So, if possible, I’ll order a glass of the house wine, or a cold beer, whichever I’m in the mood for. Or a large soda water if I’m driving.

Q9. Where can people find out more about you?
