Baraka Teas

Q1. What is your Name?

Q2. What is the name of your blog or organisation?

Baraka Teas

Q3. Where are you located in the world?

London, UK

Q4. What is your favourite Autumn drink and why?

Sikkim autumnal flush tea. It’s seasonal and has a fuller body making it perfect for the colder winter days. The aroma is exquisite- muscatel with complex fruit flavours and the bright coppery liquor is reminiscent of the falling leaves….

Q5. What is the perfect Autumn day setting to enjoy the drink?

At home, after returning from a brisk walk in the woods, with a purring cat on you lap. Perfect with shortbread biscuits.

Q6. What contributes to receiving a high quality drink?

The quality of the tea is number one. Fresh, loose leaf and brewed for the right amount of time. The correct tea ware is essential too- have you ever tried drinking Darjeeling from a mug?!

Q7. What drink do you start your day with and why?

A good quality green tea. I’m one of the lucky few that doesn’t need a caffeine jolt in the morning, so green tea is perfect as it’s refreshing and full of anti-oxidants to help me deal with the city pollution. My favourite green tea at the moment is from a small farm in Jakarta.

Q8. Do you order a different drink whilst travelling?

Yes! I love experiencing the culture in different countries and luckily tea is so popular around the world that I rarely have to go without (apart from in Italy, that was more of a challenge). It’s fascinating to drink tea the way the locals do and to observe their customs and habits.

Q9. Where can people find out more about you? (coming soon)
