My Thoughts Are Like Butterflies

Q1. What is your Name?

Amanda aka SoggyEnderman

Q2. What is the name of your blog or organisation?

My Thoughts Are Like Butterflies: Tea & Geekery

Q3. Where are you located in the world?

Kansas City, MO

Q4. What is your favourite Autumn drink and why?

My already excessive tea consumption goes through the roof, Autumn is tea weather for me! I love breaking out the roasted oolongs, Yancha, Shou Puerhs, and spicy blends.

Q5. What is the perfect Autumn day setting to enjoy the drink?

I gravitate between filling my travel tea infuser with a favorite tea and find a good place to hike and photograph the beauties of Autumn…and curling up in my fuzzy robe with a good book and many steepings using my gaiwan.

Q6. What contributes to receiving a high quality drink?

It is all about aesthetics to me, if it smells, tastes, and looks pretty chances are I will be happy. A fancy brand, a great age, and history are just icing on the cake.

Q7. What drink do you start your day with and why?

Tea, pretty much always tea. Ok sometimes if I wake up feeling really dried out because I slept with my mouth open I will go for a glass of water, but I almost always want a tea. Usually I go for a Chinese red/black tea or a refreshing green to wake me up. Not going to deny it, usually it takes many cups before I can be considered ‘human.’

Q8. Do you order a different drink whilst travelling?

I do, going on mouth adventures is fun! Usually when I visit a new place the first thing I do is look for a good spot to find tea…and then I find all the local thrift shops…and yep, I make a day out of thrifting and teaing.

Q9. Where can people find out more about you?

I am on the twitters @soggyenderman
I blog about tea and geeky things:
